This guide will explain how to identify a Moen garbage disposal. Moen manufactures a number of different garbage disposals. They vary by horsepower, size and operation. For warranty assistance, three things are required: receipt, model number and serial number. There are several different places you can check for your model information. You may be able to find the model number, SKU number or UPC code on the receipt; however, the serial number is still required. The information below will help to identify your model and where to locate your serial number.

Packaging

The model number will appear on the front and sides of the original box it came in.

Side of Box

The model number will appear on the bottom of the box. The serial number may also be on the bottom of the original box it came in. Boxes for older models had the serial number on the inside flap.

Moen garbage disposals will have the model number printed on the side of the garbage disposal itself.

Model number

The model number is located on the plate label that is on the underside of the disposal.

Serial number

The serial number is located on the plate label. It is required for all warranty requests.
