Roman Tub Handle Lever: Hex Screw

 

There are multiple styles of handle assemblies used on Roman Tub faucets. Determining which one you are working with will require removing the handle and identifying your handle mechanism. Preparation:

Disassembly:

  1. Gently remove the plug button (#1).
  2. Using a 3/32" Hex wrench, loosen the set screw (#2) until the handle (#3) lifts off. 
  3. Unthread the adapter (#4) counter-clockwise.

Cartridge Replacement: 

Assembly:

  1. The handles (#3) must be assembled in in the off position. To accomplish this, rotate the plastic stem extensions (#5) all the way clockwise for the hot side, or counter-clockwise for the cold side.
  2. Thread the adapter (#4) on clockwise.
  3. Place the handle (#3) on facing the off position.
  4. Tighten the set screw (#2) with a 3/32" Hex wrench and push the plug button (#1) back in.
