How is MotionSense powered? Does it run on batteries or use AC power?

Verify your faucet by identifying the control box under your sink

Six "AA" batteries will provide power to the faucet and last for approximately one year. There is also an AC service kit # 163712 option available. To use the optional AC service kit, all that is needed is a constant power GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit interrupter).

Six AA alkaline batteries will provide power to the faucet and will last approximately one year. There is also an optional AC adapter (kit # 169031) that can be purchased which requires a constant power GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit interrupter) outlet. Battery or AC power is needed to operate the faucet in electronic or manual mode.

In addition, please note that when using the AC Adapter, we recommend plugging it into an outlet that is not controlled by an ON/OFF switch. If the AC Adapter is plugged into the wall outlet designated for a garbage disposal, oftentimes that outlet is controlled by a switch, thereby not allowing the MotionSense faucet to function when the switch is in the OFF position.
