Where is my home’s manual shutoff valve?

Most homes have a manual shut off valve that is typically located where the water enters the home from the main supply line.

If your home does not have a manual shut off, your installer may need to shut the water off from the city’s main valve. Contact your local water authority to check for allowed access to this main, or schedule a shut off. Your installer may not be able to access this valve otherwise.
