Installing the Moen Flo Shutoff
This article contains information relevant to the Moen Flo Shutoff, which was formerly known as the Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff system.
The Moen Flo Shutoff is to be installed on the home's main water supply line just after the existing shut off valve and pressure reducing valve.* The Moen Flo Shutoff should be installed before the plumbing system branches off into the different fixtures in the home.
DO NOT install the Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff on fire sprinkler or suppression systems and hot water distribution lines.
*Some homes may not have a Pressure Reducing Valve "PRV." Please check with local plumbing codes if installing a PRV is needed.
