What is freeze protection? When would I use it?

Freeze protection runs the water slowly when a low cabinet temperature is detected. Running water has a lower risk of freezing. This can be useful during cold winter months or when your heat is off for extended periods of time.

How to enable Freeze Protection in the Moen Smart Water Network app
  1. Tap on your Smart Faucet under Devices.
  2. Tap on your device's Settings tab at the top of the screen.
  3. Tap on the toggle to enable Freeze Protection.
Freeze Protection Notifications

You can receive notifications when Freeze Protection is active.

  1. Tap on your Smart Faucet under Devices.
  2. Tap on your device's Settings tab at the top of the screen.
  3. Tap on Notifications.
  4. Tap on Freeze Protection Active.
  5. Select Text, Email, and/or In-App (push notification) to enable or disable.
