Enabling TCP Ports for wireless routers to pair your Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff
1. Login to your wireless rstyle="color: rgb(27, 54, 93); font-size: 20px;">outer by following these steps:
-
Verify that your computer is connected to the wireless router via an Ethernet cable or wireless connection.
-
Make sure you know the IP address of the router. Most routers are manufactured to use a default address like 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1, or 192.168.2.1.
If those don't work and you're not sure what your specific router' style="color: rgb(27, 54, 93); font-size: 20px;">s default IP address is, or it's not the default address anymore because you've changed it, please refer to your user manual / guide.
-
Open a web browser like Internet Explorer, Google Chrome or Firefox, and request a connection to the router using its IP address.
For example, type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar to connect to a router that has 192.168.1.1 as its IP address.
-
Enter the administrative login information to authenticate and access the admin settings./span>
Routers are shipped with default usernames and passwords. This is usually the word admin but might be different for your router style="color: rgb(27, 54, 93); font-size: 20px;">(some might not even have a password or might not use a username).
2. Enable outbound access for TCP Port 8884, 1194, 943, 443, and 80. /span>
3. After ports are open and enabled, pair your Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff. (Restarting your router may be required).
