How to use the Local Mode

To protect a home from water damage when access to Wi-Fi® is not available, Local Mode can be utilized.

Users can manually program leak detection sensitivity and perform health tests with the installed unit. (Note: unit must be connected to AC power and installed on a pressurized pipe.)

Below are the detailed instructions on how you can set the local mode:

To Open Valve

Press 1X   Snag_1dd21c0.png Valve opens To close the valve, push and turn knob with your hand or hex key.
To Select Leak Detection Sensitivity (Valve must be open. If indicated thresholds have been met, the device will automatically shut off the water.)
For devices manufactured before 01/31/2023

HIGH Leak Detection (default)

Auto Shut-Off at:

  • 10 gal consumed*
  • 5gpm for 10+ sec
  • 5 min of water use*

Select HIGH if little to no water use is expected in the home.

Press 2X

MEDIUM Leak Detection

Auto Shut-Off at:

  • 20 gal consumed*
  • 5gpm for 10+ sec
  • 10 min of water use*

Select MEDIUM if some water use is expected in the home.

LOW Leak Detection

Auto Shut-Off at:

  • 50 gal consumed*
  • 8gpm for 10+ sec
  • 15 min of water use*

Select LOW if significant water usage is expected in the home.

*in a single event

LOW Leak Detection (default)

Auto Shut-Off at:

  • 50 gal consumed*
  • 8gpm for 10+ sec
  • 15 min of water use*

Select LOW if significant water usage is expected in the home.

Press 2X

MEDIUM Leak Detection

Auto Shut-Off at:

  • 20 gal consumed*
  • 5gpm for 10+ sec
  • 10 min of water use*

Select MEDIUM if some water use is expected in the home.

HIGH Leak Detection

Auto Shut-Off at:

  • 10 gal consumed*
  • 5gpm for 10+ sec
  • 5 min of water use*

Select HIGH if little to no water use is expected in the home.

*in a single event

To Run Health Test (Valve must be open. The valve will turn off and the health test will run for 5 minutes or less)

Press 5X Snag_1e6a174.png   Interrupted** Test was disrupted due to water being used. Re-test when water is not being used in the house.
Press 5X Snag_1e6b569.png   Fail** Drip or leak detected.

 Once health test is complete, press reset button once to reset Status LED light.
