144578 Diverter Kit

Preparation: The water supply shut off valves must be turned off- see article How to Turn Off the Water Supply to the Faucet.


To Disconnect To Connect

1. Below are instructions on how to remove the diverter from the three connection points: 1, 2, & 3.

Connection Diagram: Connection styles may vary.

1-Braided Nylon Hose (Spout Hose)
2-Side Spray hose
3-Flexible Quick Connect (Outlet Hose)

 

Black Connector with white release tab: Squeeze the white tabs together and push the tabs in. Pull the hose from the quick connect.  

White Connector with black release tab: Press and hold the black button while pulling the hose out from the quick connect.

1. Remove the 2 protective caps (One cap is on the diverter and one cap is on the side spray hose (#2)).  

2. Position the diverter as illustrated in the Connection Diagram below. Push all three hoses into the diverter (ensure the word spout is facing the #1 hose) until a “click” is heard. Tug downward to test engagement. Note: The Black & White Connectors are interchangeable.

To Bypass the Side Spray

1. The faucet has a flexible Quick connect (Outlet Hose) and a braided nylon hose (Spout Hose). Install the braided nylon hose (Spout Hose) into the end of the flexible Quick connect (Outlet Hose). Push it in as far as possible until a “click” is heard.

2. Tug downward to test engagement.
