  1. Unplug tank from power supply.
  2. Turn thermostat control dial to OFF position (fully counterclockwise).
  3.  Turn faucet on and run water until water is cold.
  4. Place a container under drain plug at bottom of the tank. Use a screwdriver to remove the screw (A) and O-ring (B) in the drain tube opening. When tank is fully drained replace O-ring and screw. Tighten to reseal the drain.
  5. Press button and turn the faucet handle forward 90 degrees to start water flow and fill the hot water tank.
Note: It may take up to 15 minutes for tank to fill and water to start flowing from faucet.
  6. When water starts flowing from faucet, return the faucet handle to off position to stop water flow.
  7. Plug the tank power cord into electrical outlet.

Do not plug appliance into power supply if tank is empty.
