Low Flow: Cleaning Faucet Filters (2015-Present)

Filter cleaning is recommended on a MotionSense: Dual Sensor-Hands Free Faucet if you are experiencing overall low water flow and temperature specific low water flow. This guide is for product using the black control box, installed 2015 to present.

Preparation:

For Models Built From 2015-2019

1. The filters are located at the top of the the hot and cold supply lines that connect to the black control box.

2. To remove the hot and cold supply lines from the control box, firmly push the gray ring against the control box while simultaneously pulling the hose out.

3. The filter is housed in the brass portion of the hot and cold supply lines which can be accessed by unthreading the two sides with a wrench.

4. Rinse debris from the filter screen. Reassemble the filter into the housing and tighten using two wrenches. Insert the hose assembly into control box. Gently tug on the hose to check for a secure connection. Turn on the water supply.

Preparation:

For Models Built 11/2019-Present. 

1. The filters are located at the end of the hot and cold supply lines that thread into your shut off valves. Use an adjustable wrench to unthread the supply lines from the shut off valves.

2. Clean the Filter(s). 

Basic Cleaning

Insert each filter hose into a cup of water and agitate the filter hoses back and forth for 15 seconds to remove any possible debris. Remove the filter hoses from the cup and drain.

Full Filter Cleaning

The filter screen can be removed for further cleaning. The filter screen must be reinstalled to maintain product warranty. Use your fingers or needle nose pliers to remove the filter screen. Insert each filter screen into a cup of water. Agitate the filter screen by hand for 15 seconds then drain the excess water from the filter screen. Repeat the process for both supply line filters.

3. Reassemble the filter screen into the housing using needle nose pliers or by hand. Push back up into the hose ends (snaps into place).

4. Connect the supply lines to the shut off valves. Ensure the faucet supply line with the label connects to the hot supply stop.Tighten with a wrench. Turn the water on and check for any leaks.
