How To: Change System Modes to Home, Away, or Sleep

This article outlines the steps to take when you want to change the system mode to Home, Away or Sleep. The device defaults to Home. To learn more about what each setting means and when to use it, please view the article in Get to Know Your Device called Modes: Home, Away, Sleep and Learning.

Change System Mode in the App

Please note, most users are on the Moen Smart Water Network App. The Flo by Moen App is being sunsetted. Moen will contact current users when it is their time to convert to the Moen Smart Water Network App.

Log in to the Moen Smart Water Network App. From the App Home Page, go to ‘Whole Home Controls’ and then select the drop down arrow next to My Flo Modes.	Log in to the Flo by Moen App. Tap the Mode Selector (house icon) in the upper right hand side.
A window will slide up from the bottom of the screen, select the mode you want to put your device in and then tap Save.	A drop down menu will appear, tap on the mode you want to use.
Sleep Mode: If you select Sleep, you will be asked how long you want your device(s) in Sleep Mode. After the selected duration ends, your device(s) will automatically return to Home Mode.	Sleep Mode: If you select Sleep, you will be asked to confirm and then asked how long you want your device(s) in Sleep Mode. After the selected duration ends, your device(s) will automatically return to Home Mode.
Away Mode: If you select Away and have set up Manual Override(s) for Away Mode, you will be shown a list of Manual Overrides that will run in Away Mode. Select Manual Override if you would like to add or edit a Manual Override.	Away Mode: If you select Away, you will be asked if you would like to allow irrigation during Away Mode. Toggle Allow irrigation during Away Mode on or off and then tap Enable Away Mode.

Log in to the Moen Smart Water Network App. From the App Home Page, go to ‘Whole Home Controls’ and then select the drop down arrow next to My Flo Modes.

Log in to the Flo by Moen App. Tap the Mode Selector (house icon) in the upper right hand side.

A window will slide up from the bottom of the screen, select the mode you want to put your device in and then tap Save.

A drop down menu will appear, tap on the mode you want to use.

Sleep Mode:

If you select Sleep, you will be asked how long you want your device(s) in Sleep Mode. After the selected duration ends, your device(s) will automatically return to Home Mode.

If you select Sleep, you will be asked to confirm and then asked how long you want your device(s) in Sleep Mode. After the selected duration ends, your device(s) will automatically return to Home Mode.

Away Mode:

If you select Away and have set up Manual Override(s) for Away Mode, you will be shown a list of Manual Overrides that will run in Away Mode. Select Manual Override if you would like to add or edit a Manual Override.

If you select Away, you will be asked if you would like to allow irrigation during Away Mode. Toggle Allow irrigation during Away Mode on or off and then tap Enable Away Mode.

Change System Mode in user.meetflo.com

Log in to user.meetflo.com with your Flo by Moen email and password. At the top of the home page, tap on the mode you want to use.

Sleep Mode:

If you select Sleep, you will be asked how long you want your device(s) in Sleep Mode. After the selected duration ends, your device(s) will automatically return to Home Mode.
