Installing the Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff

This article includes detailed information on the Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff, also known as the Flo by Moen Water Shutoff.

The Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff is to be installed on the home's main water supply line just after the existing shut off valve and pressure reducing valve.* The Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff should be installed before the plumbing system branches off into the different fixtures in the home. 

DO NOT install the Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff on fire sprinkler or suppression systems and hot water distribution lines.

*NOTE: Some homes may not have a Pressure Reducing Valve "PRV." Please check with local plumbing codes if installing a PRV is needed.
