Installation:

  1. Apply sealant to the underside of the Waste Seat (#2) and slide the Waste Seat (#2) into the sink basin.
  2. From below the sink, slide the the Bottom Gasket Seal (#3) followed by the Washer (#4) onto the Waste Seat (#2). Secure them by threading the Mounting Nut (#5) onto the Waste Seat (#2) and tighten with a wrench.
  3. Insert the Seal (#6) into the Tail Piece (#7) and thread the Tail Piece (#7) onto the Waste Seat (#2) making sure the opening located on the side of the Tail Piece (#7) is facing the back of the sink.
  4. On the top of the sink, wipe off any excess sealant and remove the colored protective film from the top of the Waste Plug (#1). Insert the Waste Plug (#1) into the Waste Seat (#2) and slide the Lift Rod (#13) through the top of the faucet.
  5. Under the sink, slide the Lift Rod (#13) into the Lift Rod Strap (#12). Tighten the built-in screw on the Lift Rod Strap (#12).
  6. Insert the white plastic Pivot Rod Seat (#8) into the Tail Piece (#7) with the beveled side facing outward.
  7. Insert the Pivot Rod (#10) into the Tail Piece (#7) and hand tighten the Pivot Rod Nut (#9).
  8. Place the Pivot Rod Clip (#11) over the closest hole on the Lift Rod Strap (#12) and squeeze the Pivot Rod Clip (#11). Slide the Pivot Rod (#10) through the Pivot Rod Clip (#11) and Lift Rod Strap (#12) holes.

  9. Loosen the screw on the Lift Rod Strap (#12) so the Lift Rod (#13) rests in the down position on the top of the faucet. Tighten the screw on the Lift Rod Strap (#12).

Note: If the Lift Rod (#13) is not properly positioned in the Lift Rod Strap (#12) then it will not have the needed tension for the Pivot Rod (#10) to pull the Waste Plug (#1) closed. The Lift Rod (#13) should sit about 1/8" above the faucet and the Waste Plug (#1) will sit about 1/2" above the Waste Seat (#2) when in the open position.
