How To Identify The Cartridges In A 3/4" Exact Temp System

This article explains how to determine which internal temperature and/or flow cartridge you will need for a multi-handle vertical spa using the 3/4" Exact Temp valve system.

Example of a 3/4" Exact Temp System:

Thermostatic Handle/Valve:

  • This handle controls the temperature for the entire shower system.
  • Valves: 3371, S3371

Volume Control Handle/Valve:

  • Could have up to 4 installed
  • Controls the on/off for each shower component installed (showerhead, handshower, etc)
  • Valves: 3600, S3600

The Check Stops have a smooth flat front with a small screw head visible in the center.

Handle Rotation: 340 Degrees

Cartridge Length: 3.8"

Cartridge Material: Brass
Thermostatic Cartridge: 147208

Check Stops have a smooth front and a Hex nut with a flat head center.

Handle Rotation: 340 Degrees

Cartridge Length: 4.2"

Cartridge Material: Plastic
Volume Control Cartridge: 130157

Round smooth front with two flat sides, use pliers to remove

Handle Rotation: 90 Degrees

Cartridge Length: 2.2"

Cartridge Material: Brass

Seal at Bottom of Cartridge: White
Volume Control Cartridge: 147210
