How to Operate a Two Handle Kitchen Faucet without a Handle

Recommended Tools: Needle-Nose Pliers, #2 Phillips Screwdriver
This guide will explain how to operate a Moen faucet with a broken or missing handle. If the faucet has been disassembled or is in the process of being serviced, follow the guidelines below to see what is required in order to safely operate the faucet.
Two Handle Standard (The Handle and Spout Share the Same Base) |
Do not turn your home water supply on if the cartridge nut is missing or not securely in place.

*If the plastic stem with vertical splines is cracked, remove the Phillips head screw and plastic stem with vertical splines. Make sure the plastic retainer nut is threaded down into the valve. Use a pair of needle nose pliers to reach the stem of the cartridge.
