Instant Hot SIP Faucet and Tank: Leaking

Hot Water Drips or Sputters from Faucet:
Possible Cause Recommended Solution  

Thermostat needs adjusted 

  • Water may boil, gurgle or vapors appear

Lower temperature setting by turning thermostat control dial counterclockwise.

Bent or Curled Hose/Tube
 

 

Check that the hose connecting the faucet to the tank is not clogged, twisted or kinked.

Clogged aerator screen

 

Check that the Screen Assembly(2) is not clogged.

To remove the Aerator, unthread the Aerator Shell(3) by turning it counter clockwise. Remove any debris and reinstall.

Installation of tubing from the faucet to tank

Check for proper installation of tubing from faucet to tank and faucet to water line. If connected backwards or cross-connected, valve may be damaged.

NOTE: If a water filter is connected to the inlet line, change the filter element at recommended intervals or more often.

Hot Water Drips Continuously from faucet spout (24/7) or from the faucet handle:

Water leaks from where the Spout connects to the faucet base:

  • The Hot Water Sip faucets are designed with a spout that has a slight amount of movement, does not swivel.
     
  • The Spout is constructed with an internal silicone tube that the hot water runs through..

Spout (Internal silicone tube) Replace the Spout Kit, part number 219606 (add finish)
Water Leaking under the Sink:

  6. Angle Stop
Leaking from the Home Shut-off valves (angle stop) (F) or house supply lines. When the leak is coming from the house supply lines or the home shut off valves you will need to purchase those from your local home store.
Leaking from the Inlet Tee (D When the leak is coming from the Inlet Tee connection, you will need to purchase a replacement from your local home store.
