Leaking around the top of a garbage disposal is usually caused by one of the following. Deterioration- Inspect the mounting hardware, rubber or fiber gasket, and cushion mount for any damage or deterioration and replace if necessary. Any one of these items could cause leaking Loose Screws- Verify that the mounting assembly screws have not loosened. Worn Sealant- If the sealant is worn down then it won't seal properly and will need to be replaced with new sealant. |
