Moenstone Sink: Routine Cleaning

MoenStone® Sink Care and Cleaning
This following guide will explain how to clean your MoenStone® sink. MoenStone® kitchen sinks were produced from the mid-eighties through 2005 from a material that has a high resistance to staining, however if you come across a situation in which a stain occurs, follow these instructions.
Cleaning Instructions
Everyday minor stains

Recommended Cleaner:

Warm water and mild dishwasher soap.

Method of Application:

Scrub with a nylon scrub pad or bristle brush. Rinse thoroughly.

Hard water stains; Calcium and lime deposits

Recommended Cleaner:

White vinegar (full strength).

Method of Application:

Scrub with a nylon scrub pad or bristle brush. Rinse thoroughly. Repeat if necessary.

Hard water stains; Calcium and lime deposits

Recommended Cleaner:

Bleach (Fill the sink bowls with warm water. Add 1/2 cup of bleach per bowl.)

Method of Application:

Let soak for 30 minutes. Drain and scrub with a nylon scrub pad or bristle brush. Rinse thoroughly.

Caution

DO NOT USE: Abrasive cleansers or materials; abrasive scrub pads; alkali cleaners such as ammonia; concentrated solutions of chemical descaling agents; lacquer thinner; steel wool or soap filled steel wool scrub pads; undiluted bleach; drain unblocking chemicals that recommend filling the sink with water. Do not pour paint or paint cleaning materials in sink.

AVOID: While MoenStone sinks have been shown to withstand temperatures of up to 535 °F, avoid prolonged contact with hot pots and pans. These activities are potentially detrimental to your sink surface.
