Reset Controller To Factory Defaults
Instructions for resetting your U by Moen Smart Shower controller back to factory defaults.
- On your U by Moen Smart Shower controller, press the temperature down button for 5 seconds until the Technical Information page displays.
- If you have an earlier version of the controller firmware, you will see "Reset to Factory Defaults" at the lower right corner of the screen. Press the bottom outlet button next to this option.
If you have a newer version of the controller firmware (above 3.0.0), you will see "Reset" at the lower right corner of the screen. Press the bottom outlet button next to this option. Select the bottom outlet button again to select "Factory Reset".
- Press the temperature down button to highlight "Yes".
- Press the bottom outlet button next to "Next".
- Once the controller is reset to Factory Defaults, the controller screen will flash and then prompt you to select your language, time zone, temperature units, and water saving mode.
If your Smart Shower is displaying in the U by Moen Smart Shower app: After you reset your U by Moen Smart Shower controller to factory defaults, you will need to remove the shower from the U by Moen Smart Shower app before syncing your controller again to the U by Moen Smart Shower app. You can find instructions how to remove your Smart Shower from the U by Moen Smart Shower app here.
