Reset Wifi Credentials

Instructions regarding how to connect your existing U by Moen Smart Shower Controller to your new router or WiFi network.

This article includes detailed information on the U by Moen Smart Shower app, also known as the Moen Smart Water Network app or the Moen Smart Water app. 

If you recently received a new internet provider, new router, or if your router configuration changed, you can update your WiFi password and WiFi network name on your U by Moen Smart Shower controller without removing the controller from your U by Moen Smart Shower account.

If you change your WiFi password or WiFi network name, this must be updated for each shower.

+ iPhone
  1. In the U by Moen Smart Shower app, select the shower you would like to update the WiFi password for.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select Reset WiFi Credentials.

  4. On theU by Moen Smart Shower controller, press the temperature down button for 5 seconds until the technical information page displays

  5. Click on one of the below options to expand:  
    + If "Reset WiFi Credentials" is displaying at the upper right corner: 

    Press the top outlet button next to "Reset WiFi Credentials".

    + If "Reset" is displaying at the lower right corner: 

    Press the bottom outlet button next to "Reset", press the temperature down button to select "WiFi Reset", and then press the bottom outlet button next to "Next".

  6. On the U by Moen Smart Shower controller, press the temperature up button for 5 seconds until you receive a pin number.

  7. In the U by Moen Smart Shower app, tap Next.

  8. On your iPhone, connect to the Smart Shower wireless network.  Look for the "Moen" network in Settings > Wi-Fi.

  9. Go back to the U by Moen Smart Shower app  and tap "Next".

  10. Fill out the requested information on the next page and then tap Start.

  11. If you have more than 1 shower, complete steps 1-10 for each shower. 
+ Android
  1. Select the shower you would like to update the WiFi password for.

  2. Select Settings at the upper right corner of the app.

  3. Select Reset WiFi Credentials.

  4. On the U by Moen Smart Shower controller, press the temperature down button for 5 seconds until the technical information page displays

  5. Click on one of the below options to expand:  
     
    + If "Reset WiFi Credentials" is displaying at the top-right corner: 

    Press the top outlet button next to "Reset WiFi Credentials".

    + If "Reset" is displaying at the bottom-right corner: 

    Press the bottom outlet button next to "Reset", press the temperature down button to select "WiFi Reset", and then press the bottom outlet button next to "Next".

  6. On the U by Moen Smart Shower controller, press the temperature up button for 5 seconds until you receive a pin number.

  7. Return to the U by Moen Smart Shower app, scroll down, and tap Next.

  8. On your Android phone, connect to the Smart Shower wireless network.  Look for the "Moen" network in Settings > WiFi.

  9. Go back to the U by Moen Smart Shower app, scroll down, and tap Next.

  10. Fill out the requested information on the next page and then tap Start

  11. If you have more than one shower, complete steps 1-10 for each shower.
