Single Handle 4" Centerset Knob: Threaded Cap

Moen produces a variety of single handle bathroom faucets. The interior components and assembly are not the same for each model. This article will explain one of the more common handle assemblies used exclusively on the Concentrix product line. The faucet utilizes a 1225 flow cartridge.


 Preparation:

DISASSEMBLY:

  1. Unthread the handle cap (#1). The gasket (#2) will come off with the handle cap (#1).
  2. Pull off the handle insert (#4).
  3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the handle screw (#3).
  4. The handle skirt (#5) pulls off followed by the handle adapter (#6)
  5. Lift off the stop tube (#7).

ASSEMBLY:

  1. Slide the stop tube (#7) onto the faucet.
  2. Install the handle adapter (#6) by sliding it into the stop tube (#7) with the tooth to the front of the faucet.
  3. Slide the handle skirt (#5) back on to the faucet.
  4. Replace the handle insert (#4).
  5. Thread and tighten the handle screw (#3).
  6. Screw the handle cap (#1) back on.
