Water System Shutoff

This article includes detailed information on the Flo Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff, also known as the Flo by Moen Water Shutoff.

What does Water System Shutoff mean?

Water System Shutoff is a critical alert related to Flo automatically shutting off of your water as a precautionary measure because Flo detected an underlying critical alert, and you may not have responded to the underlying critical alert. For example, if you receive an Extended Water Usage alert (related to water running consistently for an excessive period of time), and do not reply to the alert within a certain period of time, Flo may automatically shut off your water as a precautionary measure.

To turn your water back on, visit the Control Panel in your Flo by Moen app and toggle the water back to “On”.

In the event that the Flo by Moen app does not receive a response from you, or you have set your mode to “Away”, Flo will automatically shut your water to protect you and your home.
