Water System Shutoff

This article includes detailed information on the Moen Smart Water app, also known as the Flo by Moen app.

What does Water System Shutoff mean?

Water System Shutoff is a critical alert related to the Smart Water Network automatically shutting off of your water as a precautionary measure because it detected an underlying critical alert, and you may not have responded to the underlying critical alert. For example, if you receive an Extended Water Usage alert (related to water running consistently for an excessive period of time), and do not reply to the alert within a certain period of time, the Smart Water Network may automatically shut off your water as a precautionary measure.

To turn your water back on, visit the Control Panel in your Moen Smart Water app and toggle the water back to “On”.

In the event that the Moen Smart Water app does not receive a response from you, or you have set your mode to “Away”, the Smart Water Network will automatically shut your water to protect you and your home.
