Shower Handle: M-Core 4 Series-Direct Connect Handle Mechanism

Preparation:
  • The water supply shut off valves must be turned off, see article How to Turn Off the Water Supply to the Faucet.
  • Recommended Tools: 3/32" Hex Wrench
  • We recommend covering the drain before beginning so not to lose any parts down the drain.

Handle: A Coaxial Two Lever Handle Body

1. Thermostatic Lever: Control shower temperature

2. Volume Handle: Control on /off function and adjusts water flow

3. Set Screws for Handle (Qty 2)  These screws require a 3/32 Hex wrench for removal and are very small. It is not necessary to remove the screws completely from the handle body, they only need to be loosened enough for the lever to be pulled away form  the system.

Using a 3/32" Hex wrench, loosen the two Set Screws (3) on the underside of the handle until you can remove the Flow/Temperature handle (& 2).

Slide the Decorative Sleeve (4) off of the Escutcheon Back Plate (5) and Brass Valve Assembly

Slide the Decorative Sleeve (4) onto the assembly until it is flush with the Escutcheon Back Plate (5) and Brass Valve Assembly..

With the levers pointing down, place the Flow/Temperature handle (& 2) onto the stem of the Cartridge as far back as it will go, and use a 3/32" Hex wrench to tighten the two Set Screws (1C) on the underside of the handle.
