A Single Handle Standard Spout faucet will have a lever handle mounted above the water spout. The faucet may or may not have a side sprayer installed next to the faucet or in the base plate.
The first step to repairing a faucet is to identify your handle style: Moen produces a variety of Single Handle Standard Faucets. These faucets are not assembled or repaired the same way. The articles below are listed based on their each unique style. To choose the correct articles you will want to identify your handle style. The Handle Assembly instructions will explain which cartridge is used with that style of handle, and include the step by step detailed installation of the parts.


Bottle Opener 

Introduced in the mid 60's-This Handle rotates 360 degrees.


Collar and Nut 

Introduced in 1972This handle has a distinct ring or "collar" visible under the lever handle. The handle rotates 180 degrees.   



Introduced in 1996- This handle rotates 180 degrees.


Direct Connect 4000/40002  

 Introduced in 2005- This handle will have an opening on the back for the set screw. Handle rotation is less than 180 degrees.


Direct Connect 1255

Introduced in 2009- This handle will have an opening on the front for the set screw. Handle rotation is less than 180 degrees.
